Evening:
  • 7:00 pm | Early Bird Meet & Greet at Mambo's, the Event Hotel's casual outdoor bar and grille. Hang with the eager beavers who got in early!

  • All day | Soda, water, snacks in the Promenade Suite, on the 2nd floor above the volleyball courts. Must be consumed in the Suite— please only take what you need!
  • 3:00-4:30 | Event Sign-in and Meet & Greet by the firepits! Sign up for tomorrow’s kayaking here.
Evening:
  • 4:45 | Dinner Groups meet with dinner group leaders in the hotel lobby to walk together to local restaurants. Sign up for a group at Event Sign-in.
  • 7:00-8:00 | New Member Icebreaker and Event Sign-in at our Event Ballroom upstairs. Say hello to the newbies—everyone is invited! Cash bar. Sign up for tomorrow’s kayaking here.
  • 8:00 sharp | Speed-Meet in our Event Ballroom. Casual, handshake introductions for everyone who's shown up so far. We recommend you look sharp, children—leave your torn tees and ratty sneakers at home. Single folks highly encouraged, but everyone's invited! Cash bar.
  • 10:00-midnight | Thursday Night Mixer in our Event Ballroom. Expand your 1-minute introductions into deeper conversations, and continue the evening's festivities with music and dancing. This year, we've got one of our own and the best in the state—John of Astro DJs—spinning tunes for us all weekend long! Cash bar.

  • 9:00 sharp | 5th Annual Kayaking Trip hosted by the Pottses. Meet in the lobby at 9:00 AM with your ticket. Sign up on Thursday at 3pm and 7 pm Event Sign-ins.
  • 9:00-10:00 | Live in the AM with Mary & Mimosa hosted by E. Brian Vogel in our Hospitality Suite. Tomato and orange juices, and some other ingredients, for a little morning wake-me-up. Breakfasty snacks to go with. Must all be consumed in the Suite. Also Saturday.
  • 12:00-1:30 | Event Sign-in and Meet & Greet by the firepits.
  • 12:00 | Lunch Groups meet with lunch group leaders in the hotel lobby to walk together to local restaurants. Sign up for a group at Event Sign-in.
  • 1:30 | Cocoa Town Pub Crawl meets in the Hotel lobby, led by Steve Otto. Justify yer thirst (for either spirits or...club soda) with a walking tour of Cocoa Beach's watering holes!
  • All afternoon | Sand Volleyball on the court, as well as Sunnin', Chillin' and Minglin' poolside.
Evening:
  • 4:45 pm | Dinner Groups meet with dinner group leaders in the hotel lobby to walk together to local restaurants. Sign up for a group at Event Sign-in. Or form your own dinner groups with your new/old peeps!
  • 6:30-7:00 | Friends Memorial Service for our departed friends, upstairs in our Event Ballroom. Music, thoughts, poetry welcome. Please join us.
  • 7:00-8:00 | New Member Icebreaker and Event Sign-in at our Event Ballroom. Say hello to the newbies who've just arrived—everyone is invited! Cash bar.
  • 8:00-midnight | Dance and Karaoke Party in our Event Ballroom, with Astro DeeJay John spinnin' groovin' dance music from the last 4 decades. Grab your favorite partner and show us your moves! Turn your shower-singing into a serenade for your new friends! Cash bar.

JoAnn from Michigan, well-known community advocate, leads this popular meeting again this year, and some of our community leaders and counselors will be on hand, for a conversation about living and loving in our community. An opportunity for you to bring up your burning topics!
  • THE FAMOUS FOB POOL PARTY:

  • 12:00-1:30 | Event Sign-in (LAST CHANCE) by the firepits. Lunch on your own today—make plans with your new/old peeps!
  • 1:30 | FOB Variety Show and Open Mic poolside. Be a show off! Bring your guitar, harmonica, karaoke CDs, hand puppets, stand-up routines, comedy skits, etc. Contact us ASAP to sign up to perform for the Variety Show.
  • All afternoon | Sunnin', Chillin' and Minglin' poolside.
Evening:
  • 7:00-8:00 | Pre-Ball Reception and New Member Icebreaker in our Event Ballroom. The newbie numbers should be dwindling as newbies become veterans over the course of the weekend! Cash bar.
  • 8:00-10:00 | ANCESTRY & CULTURAL HERITAGE BANQUET in our Event Ballroom. The Main Event. Come dressed in the national costume of your own ancestral heritage (other than "American"). Costume ogling starts immediately in preparation for the contest voting! Delicious buffet, cash bar.
  • 10:00-midnight | ANCESTRY & CULTURAL HERITAGE BALL in our Event Ballroom. Cash bar, costume competition and prizes, and dancing, dancing, dancing. We're so excited, we can barely sit still.
  • late evening-on | Saturday Night Informal Acoustic Jam, out on the beach. When your feet get tired, and your head starts to spin, go have a sit down and sing along with the guitarists and then with DJ John’s karaoke box at this now-annual tradition. Bring your blanket, towel, beach chair, etc. Please remember that glass is not allowed on the beach!
